I'm an old-fashioned "a deal is a deal" sort of guy, so when I'm in a committed relationship my antennae are not tuned-in to other options or alternatives. I don't claim this as virtuous nor do I think it's always been to my benefit. It's no doubt connected to the fact that I'm a natural monotasker, on a genetic level. I've never strayed from an agreement, whatever form that may have had. When I'm not attached, I'll merrily sully my saber in any fetching and deserving scabbard, but once there's been a mutual agreement of exclusivity, the sword gets wiped off and stowed.
