Yes, VERY different meaning now that the title has changed.

FWIW, cats don't really kill huge numbers of local birds, even feral colonies - that came from a very biased and flawed study, and has been puffed up by the Audubon folks. Australia has a problem b/c their native species don't even know what a cat (or most any other predator) is, so most of them are protected and going extinct. But do keep them inside, because the life expectancy of outdoor pets is only a fraction of the normal span due to predators, cars, etc.
