F30 owner here: The G20 is a good car, but it also has very loud design that has to get accustomed to (let's be honest most of us will) and it's growth is noticeable in the drive.
You can be critical and still like it. As I've said in many posts, it will be my next car unless I get Porsche money.
I think the 6 cyl will be a must for the G20 though.
