I work for a BMW dealership. 2021 M340i are still in production and have not been shipped yet. YES, the 48v is standard on all 2021 M340i as it will be on the 440 when it arrives as well. |
From a few people who have taken delivery on there 21 m340i have reported that they can't take turn off the auto start/stop feature. Is that true and if so do you know the reason why ? |
The reason you can't turn the feature off is because of how the 48v system works. In comfort and eco, you have to deal with it. Currently there are two work arounds. You can put your car in any of the sport settings or move the shifter to the left before coming to a stop. At some point I'm sure there will be programming to defeat it, but that might cause a warranty issue
