Do you happen to know the code line ?
That's good info tho. Thanks
Its under BDC module and look for auto-headlights. (you don't need to go to expert mode)

It gives you an option:

Auto headlights in position 0
Auto headlights in position 1

US cars are set to 0, see what yours is set to.

Back in the day, I imported a Volvo from Canada and had this very same problem. Couldn't turn off the headlights. That one just required a US spec headlight switch (before coding days )
Stupid Canada lol
It's mandatory in Canada (or will be), that as long as the engine is running and it's dark, the headlights must remain lit.

I'm not sure it can be removed via coding, it might be hardware specific but don't quote me..

Yea I know our stupid laws.

We never had the option in idrive to turn them off either always needed coding.

It's because we have so many damn morons driving dark thinking they have lights on cause the drl does faint heads and cluster, but no tails. Ruin it for us people with a brain

It sucks but laws exist so stupid people don't hurt themselves or others..

I encounter at least one neanderthal, per week, on the expressway, late at night, with no lights on but I digress..

If it's that serious to you, maybe one of the coding vendors here might be able to possible code it remotely for you. Won't hurt to ask..
