My dealer told me that hotspot is not supported for Australia or NZ as a Connected Drive service.
I asked why and they said it was only supported in the EU where they had a data usage package deal with I think T Mobile .
I guess they don't want users in this part of the world consuming huge amounts of data on BMWs tab. And it's just as easy to set up your own phone as an in car hotspot.
