M235i GC, not M240i GC.
That's a key distinction. It means the car will have a transverse B48 derivative with ~300hp, rather than the longitudinal B58 with 382hp that future M*40i models will have. |
Indeed. A huge shame. I had the opportunity to drive a 2 series FWD the other day and it was very clearly different, the steering was obviously corrupted under power.
Where BMW managed to find the so called huge majority of people who didn't notice their 1 series was RWD to justify this upcoming change, I will never know.
