although funny and justified, i would have likely called the locksmith for him and let someone or something else dish the karma.
perhaps it would have taught him to handle things better in the future instead of perpetuating the negativity.
another way to look at it is that his negativity turned you negative and he's really the one that pulled the win.
additionally, note that i said i would call for him. i don't believe you should let anyone touch your belongings unless you don't mind losing them.
of course that's just my opinion. perhaps he really needed that. karma is funny like that.
