Then you have understood some important things in life - good for you.
And no matter how the past was, if you are happy with what you are now, it has made you a stronger person.
And (compared with the German social system) it's a shame that you had to have these experiences in life at all - in the richest country in the world (yes I know that's only half the truth). And 50% of my salary goes away for social fees and tax but at least nobody has to worry here about getting ill or having to sleep on the road.
