It's possible it could leave within a day of arriving at the port, but it depends on how many other vehicles are waiting. My understanding is that they batch them together so that there are enough going to a particular destination.
My G20 arrived at port the day before an East Coast-bound ship but ended up catching the next one. It's tough to predict.
