The sustainable material preference is more and more present among car buyers as well. Not everybody wants to sit on animal skin.

There's also just the general pro-contra of eg. cloth/alcantara/what have you seats vs leather.

To each his own. Of course it could just be a selectable no-cost option which upholstery you prefer.

It's also a bit strange in my mind equating "luxury" and "premium" with leather. They could just as well put some cheap feeling leather in there by standard or just add the option on top of the base price and call it "included", would that make it better in your eyes?
