The rim looks finer than the spokes. I was only supposed to be repairing the rim but caught a couple of spokes a few times with the sandpaper which has taken the shine off. The brushed effect is more prominent on the spokes but I don't want to risk sanding them much more, I'll end up having to do the whole wheel, then the other 3 to match lol.

I practiced on an old stainless steel kettle I had to see how the different grades made it look......
