The X1 was suffering from a MASSIVE recall. It effected the car for around 6 months. BMW limited production of the 2019, then quickly moved on to the 2020. That is the only reason the X1 has been slacking.
For the B pillar issue? Not sure if that was 'massive'....my wife's '18 wasn't in the recall list.

Unless there's another recall?
