Settings remained the same. Rebooting iDrive is like restarting a computer or an iPhone. Just make sure your engine is running and press the iDrive power button until the system fully shuts down AND come back to life. At least that's how I did it.

EDIT: The app has been working as intended for almost 24 hours now.
