I was lucky to have it added before my build went into production. After speaking to a bmw genius they also informed me that the back up assistant is also a feature you get with the parking assistance package. Which is probably the second best feature besides the 360 view camera. Also if your car build is equipped with the executive package the parking assistance is $500
