I e-mailed ‘connected drive’ earlier this week. (Response below). I booked my car into the dealers and yesterday got software updated to 11/2019.41..

In relation to the OTA Software Updates, as your vehicle has iDrive 7 this means that this is available for your car. When a new update is available for your car a message will appear on your vehicle iDrive prompting you to begin the update.

However currently there is a known issue with this which is currently being worked on, where the updates are not being received in vehicles.

At this time we are advising customers to have this updated at their nearest BMW Centers for now, as there currently isn’t a time frame for when this will be resolved.
