So basically they still want you to pay the $450.00
seems so trivial and if they simply put it in the price then those that lease would be easier accommodated.

Thank you for contacting BMW Group Australia.

We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention and following up regarding our recent offer of extension.

If you have a valid minimum or above of a 1 year subscription for the Apple Car Play service currently on your vehicle or have ever had a full 1 year subscription valid in the past, you will automatically receive an unlimited subscription to the service with no respective end date as a form of goodwill from BMW Group Australia.

This transition is currently in progress and all BMW vehicles that are compatible for the lifetime option will see it update accordingly in their ConnectedDrive. You should not see any disruptions to your service during this time as it will happen accordingly in the background.

If your vehicle is compatible it will show as being able to be purchased through the following link when you enter your Vehicle identification Number (VIN) . It cannot be retrofitted if your vehicle is not equipped with ConnectedDrive.

If in the past you have only purchased a 1 month trial for $1.00, you will not receive the automatic update for the lifetime service option. However you will still be able to purchase the lifetime option should you wish to. This has already been revised on our BMW ConnectedDrive website. The lifetime option for any compatible vehicles is now at a discounted rate of $450.00 for the unlimited option. For your personal reference we have attached the link for this below.

The goodwill is a new and revised offer BMW Group Australia have introduced based off of the valued feedback of our loyal BMW customers. The offer commenced as of the 5th of December 2019, therefore any prior purchases to the Apple Car Play services would unfortunately not able to be refunded. However please keep in mind if you have purchased anything above a 1 year service already it will still be extended for you. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but nonetheless will pass your feedback on for future developmental purposes.

We thank you for your time and hope this clarifies any prior confusion.
