Personally I hated the idea of going to a soft top. There are a few other things they can do to make the top a bit less heavy but oh well.
I owned an Z4 e86 with the rag top and it's loud with it up. My current F83 hardtop is much better in turn of lower noise. It's fun to see that going up or down too.
But some men ever has valid point that it's hard to live with the trunk space with the hard top down.
Maybe it's good news that my F83 will be more popular when it comes time to resell.
I will enjoy my hard top while I can since the next m4 vert is probably 2021 or later for the US.
