Because that is how it is designed to work. Adaptive Mode, is a separate driving mode, is an 'overlapping' mode working between Comfort and Sport, according to how you drive and with additional SatNav predictive input.

Once you read what's on BMW's website (right now-from photo)....Now that you see how BMW explains this option...

Please explain to me what makes you think you guys are correct in says it's an additional drive mode.


Seriously.... all it says in short are these words:
Suspension
Air Cushioning
Rear Axle


No where does it mention anything at all about any other system on the car.
