I have also requested that they check the rear main seal since there was no sign of oil in the engine bay or in my parking spot. Could explain why there was no burning oil, smoke, etc. and the oil is just collecting in the bell housing.
It seems that they will fight doing this since it means dropping the transmission, but my spidey sense is tingling with this being the culprit.
