70k seems a bit much... i mean, i can't see the m340i being much more than a x3 m40i. a x3 m40i with a wheel upgrade, m sport diff, exec and premium packages, and h&k audio is $63.5k + destination. and it has all wheel drive, so I can't see a m340i being more than that.

So i'd guess say $62k msrp without AWD - some negotiation. lets call it $58k (which would be the same as a euro delivery discount and you could probably do better unless its like the absolute first units).

I think there will still be a decent number of takes.... If an m3 is the typical $20-25k more (it already starts at 70k with no options today).

For me under $60k for a loaded m340i is still a lot less sticker shock than $80k for a loaded m3 especially considering the HP gap will be likely be smaller this time around , and that the m3 won't have a dual clutch to truly differentiate it.
