The official reveal of the G22 will come before the official reveal of the G82, yes.

The grill in particular will be the exact same size/shape with a different finish/pattern, yes. The headlights will also be the same, as will the hood line. The rest of the front end will differ in all the ways an M typically differs from the non-M vehicle from which it derives. See the above X6 and X6 M threads for one example. Of course, the M4 will also get wider fenders, as you can see from the old 4 Series and M4 threads above.
