we have it on the x3. it just activates the brakes when you're at a stop light or a long wait in traffic so you can rest your feet, apply the gas and it instantly removes the brake pressure....and if you keep it in auto h when you shut off your car, it'll automatically apply the parking brake. I like the feature. my fiance hates it.
