Received confirmation that the non-North American and non-European spec 330i, specifically delivered to the Caribbean, does not include the GPF. I think it is basically the same engine as the Euro spec, without the GPF and potentially mapped for a hotter climate with 95 RON fuel as the best grade.
Wonder if this is the best of both worlds, less emissions than the NA spec and no GPF like the Euro spec.
Would be interesting to know if this set-up was 5-10 HP and TQ more than the non-NA and non-Euro. Probably just wishful thinking. Obviously the BMW 'official' numbers are all exactly the same at 255 HP and 295 TQ across the regions, but surely there must be slight variations between the output of these motors based on region specific mapping and slight hardware differences.
