What is the reason for the trend toward LEDs? I know they last a lot longer, which is a nice feature if you ever had to deal with replacement cost of HIDs after 7 or 8 years, but I'm wondering if it has to do with safety of other drivers? Supposedly older drivers have a much harder time coping with HID output.
