I consider using run-flats or non-RF with a compressor and puncture fluid to be the same thing. Both will get you out of the same trouble, but a more severe tire issue and you are pretty much toast regardless.
So the spare tire becomes helpful in certain situations, even with RF's, as I mentioned previously. So that's why I occasionally carry a proper spare.
Otherwise in a populated area with Roadside assist, no real need for a spare.
