the battery seems to work nicely if I'm on a motorway cruise. 40mpg is very likely if you stick to the speed limits over a 40 or 50 mile run.
if you are "pushing on" and on small roads, then mpg is anywhere between 20 and 30 and the battery doesn't seem to make any difference

Pre- LCI cars with or without MHT all have iDrive 7 with the separate screens. LCI cars all have MHT with the iDrive 8.
