I have M-Adaptive suspension. I drive using adaptive mode most of the time except on highways sport mode. this is definitely a no brainer upgrade especially at the cost of $700. The regular sport suspension is just too firm in my opinion for daily driving use in the roads in my area.
The following video, Robert Rothmiller from BMW Driving Dynamics team, briefly mentions that difference between old M-Adaptive Suspension in F30 vs the new one in the G20. Timeframe (14:56)"A little further developed from the predecessor, now allows more volume control, faster switching in the control, but in principle same as the predecessor"
