The key fob goes to "sleep mode" after being stationary for 2 minutes. So if you have it sitting on a table at home it won't continously transmit signals. Of course this doesn't mitigate similar risks when the key is moving with you in your pocket/bag.

Afaik you need comfort access for the NFC lock/unlock/start functionality. I guess if you really want it, you can disable the automatic locking/unlocking and just use the NFC functionality. But at that point and if you're worried about security, you might be better off not opting for it.
