It's basically an oil/atf cooler on the undercarriage of the car. If you puncture it and fail to stop immediately you'll run your engine without oil which tends to do bad things  . Insurance companies love to fight about covering these types of issue so keep that in mind.
It's one of those things you just have to be mindful of but it's probably not a big deal as long as you actually plan to seriously track the car. It's probably not worth it otherwise. |
