Hi all, I'm new to the diagnostics and coding scene. I have an IT background and have built computers in the past as well as flashed coding for cell phones and other electronics. I purchased an ENET cable and have a clean install of Windows 10 on my laptop. What I would like to begin doing is getting a feel for what programs to run to hook up to the car and get diagnostic data. I'd like to learn and get comfortable before trying any coding. This is all for my m340i.

Where's the best place to start. Should I start looking in other model threads, other forums specific to this? Any direction is greatly appreciated!
