I think he answered your question correctly. Current M4 vert doesn't end production til August 2020 so he's saying it wouldn't be surprising to have to wait til then to see the M3/4. And the production 4 series isn't set to be produced until July of 2020, so he's saying it's unlikely to see the M3/4 before we see the production 4 series.
