This made sense with the E9x series (no 4 series yet), was odd with the F8X series since there was an independent 4 series (although appreciate since the 4er headlights were better) and now is just bizarre (IMO) for the G8x series as the front ends of the 3er and 4er are VASTLY different. I would hope they separate these front ends once and for all for the Hxx series.
