So, ConnectedDrive Support replied. It's a ridiculous reply tho' as it was me that told them that the problem can temporary be resolved with an iDrive reset. Very disappointed in ConnectedDrive tech support.

Our back office told us that you need to reset the iDrive system if it does not work. You can do that by pressing the on/off button on the radio. You need to hold it for 20 seconds and then the system will reset.
