A 335/340 variant would have sold a lot better here. If they had to just pick one for whatever reason, they should have gone with the 6 cyl. Most people don't buy a $60k 3 series because it gets good fuel economy. That may entice them, especially the diesel heads, but it's not the main reason someone buys a premium automobile. I still love our F31 for what it is, but it's not all that it should be without the 6 cyl.

Maybe a handful of folks on this forum would, but the majority of Americans don't like nor will they ever drive "station wagons".
