In saying this it only records up to 40 seconds and also records in the event it senses an accident has taken place.

I'm just now hearing about drive recorder. I guess that's similar? But for example the other day someone was trying to ram my girlfriend in her car on the freeway and was harassing her for miles. None of that was recorded. Or at least not viewable.
