They did an oil change, and told me to come back when the car issued the "oil at minimum level", which is what it has now done again for the 3rd time.
Given that when it previously happened and they actually drained to measure and it was over filled is pointing to a sensor issue.

This was the issue when the E9X 335s were 1st introduced. That was the 1st inline 6 that BMW without a dip stick and bunch of folks were getting low oil warnings. It just ended up being the sensors and the actual oil level was just fine.
It is pretty surprising to hear that the sensor issue is still on going but it is also good to hear that your car is not burning any oil.
