Tom,
I got one more question about tire sizes for 19x9 and 19x10 rims:
How bad is to mount 255/35R19 instead of 265/35/R19 on the rear? Front tires already bought 235/40/R19.

Hey, I'm able to help answer! putting a 255/35 is very minimal stretching and shouldn't have any problem mounting to 10 inch wide wheel. a 255 is still a 10 inch wide tire, so just a little smaller than OE recommended. This would also help with any kind of concerns with clearance since the tire is just a tad smaller.

Hi Apex team! I like driving/tracking my VS-5RS in 18x9 ET25 with 255mm tires on my G20 330Msport.
They fit perfect with my KW V3+camber plates and don’t even need any spacers.
Unfortunately the ML-10 are not available in this same size.(only 19’ for G20) so my question is:
If I pick the 19x9 ET25 and still running 255 tires on them, do I have to really do alignment if I switch (let’s say 1 time per week or two) from 18’(vs-5rs to my 19’(ML-10) and vice versa?
Basically being able to pass from a daily car to a track car when I have to go lapping nights let’s say.

Thank you by advance!

Hey! A 255/35 is definitely possible on a 19x9 ET25 with a direct fit. 3-5mm front spacers may be required with certain aftermarket suspensions that reduce inner clearance. Just note if you ran the corresponding tire size of 275/35, it will not be X-drive compatible.

Hi Jasper, thx for your reply!
I didn’t even know we can fit 275 wide tire on 9 width wheel.
My car is Xdrive, And just want to confirm about sizing you were talking about.
Have you said 255/35 won’t be Xdrive compatible or 275/35?
Because I don’t think (you are the expert!) we can fit 275 on 9 width wheel.
Could you please clarify, sorry If I sound dumb. Just don’t want to make any mistakes.

My apologies for the miscommunication, if you are running a square setup then it would be a 255/35 all around, this would be a direct fit, and a 3-5mm front spacer may be required with certain aftermarket suspensions that reduce inner clearance.

I was referring to running a staggered setup for the rear (a 19x10 ET38). I wouldn't recommend a 275 on a 9-inch wide wheel as we cannot verify fitment and personally, I think it would be much too big for that wheel. For your X-Drive G20 I would stick with the square fitment, a 19x9 ET25 with a 255/35. Let me know if that clears up everything!

I’ve decided on getting a set of Apex wheels for my summer setup.

Currently, I’m running the stick 18” (848m square set up). I think I want to stick with 18” wheels for more ride comfort on Midwest roads. I’ll likely stay stock height. Just want something that looks good and is a little better than stock.

What are some recommended specs?
Thanks!
