Weird vibration and noise/clunk on startup
I have a 2023 M340i and recently have been having this weird vibration noise from inside the cabin and a clunk sort of sound when driving for a min or 2, and then it goes away. I'm running JB4 and a valvetronics exhaust. Could I take this into service and not worry about my warranty being voided? Never really took a modded car in for a service at a normal dealership.

Only if they plug into the ISTA, but that only happens when there’s coding related issues, but with them not knowing the problem idk how they’re gonna diagnose it without plugging in. Regardless though they won’t just void your warranty if they see you’ve used a jb4.

I just spoke with a BMW advisor recently at a dealership here in NY and he said BMW just denied someone a warranty repair who was having a transmission issue on a 23 m340 that they had been using a jb4 with. $9k repair.

And that is why is it very important to have a good relationship with your dealer and service advisor.
