You're right, I just scanned the post quickly and I assumed... However in some places, people do think that is indeed extreme. I just wanted to throw out that that we're getting 12-20cms and I don't even want to think about clearing the snow off my driveway...

Down this way my dealer actually dissuades me from buying a winter Wheelset from him!

All that to drive slightly faster in 2 weeks of the year. I DO get that for many though it's a different case and can be the difference between getting home and up a steep drive or not!!

My drive is very steep and we live on a steep hill, I have no intention to get winter wheels, when the weather is bad it’s a very good excuse to not go to work.
