2022 430i coupe exhaust and warranty

Reposting this here because it’s a more specific thread to my questions.

Hey Guys, new to BMW. Just bought a 2022 430i coupe with 26500 miles. Has about 2 years left of manufacturer warranty. I want to upgrade the exhaust with an axle back or cat back system but I’m concerned about it affecting my warranty. I know they wouldn’t explicitly void the warranty just by installing them but I’m worried about the technicalities of a claim denial in the event I did need to file one someday. I called my local dealerships and they all just said I should refrain from any/all mods until my warranty is up. I could hold off for two years but that would be lame. From what I understand the only way they could deny my claim is if they could prove the mod directly caused the problem.

Has anyone had any experience/issues with an axle back/cat back that lead to a claim denial? My understanding is that those are the safer options to go with under warranty but getting negative feedback from the local dealerships kinda threw me off of the idea. Am I really better off waiting 2 years or am I being overly cautious?

Hi, I’ve got a G22 430i 2022 as well.

I bought mine used at 4000 km, and the twist?
It was modified with a fullsystem catless downpipe exhaust directly from a BMW premium selection dealership.

Perhaps it’s because of where I live (Indonesia) and the issue with catless downpipes have never really bothered me, I asked around many dealers and all they said was it’s completely fine.
Not just that, after the purchase they even gave me a 2 year extended warranty, and when I had a small crash a while back, I could still claim my parts warranty and all is good for me.

If I were you, I’d go for a catback valved exhaust, I don’t see the issues there except for noise stuff.

And maybe something to encourage you to get an exhaust, here’s a video:
