Hi guys, does anyone know if the My BMW app is reading off the car's VO directly or from BMW factory? Just want to know if I updated my VO to reflect the retrofit I made (20" wheels, carbon exterior pack) would it shows up on the car avatar on the My BMW app?

And when updating the VO, you have to determine which option the new one replaces? Let's say I should uncheck 7M9 "extended shadowline" when I check 71C "carbon exterior"?

Just give it a try.
I know that the car is sending some data back to the BMW servers but i can´t tell you if the VO is sent back and updated.

Yes all data from VO are sync to BMW servers. I have retrofited OEM Extended shadowline package and added to VO and now in app i have all changed Also on BMW server at dealership i can see new options i have in VO, without connecting my car to dealership ISTA.

Long time, same like tyre info (brand and sizes), when i change from summer to winter set.

Can you tell me how you did change it on the app (steps). Would like to change the wheels to 792m.

i don't think wheels show up on the app picture. at least not on some people inc mine

Not really.
There´s only a limited number of graphics for the IC and HU stored in the HU.
And there are only two known values that change the look of the car, one for the color and one for the trim.

HU_MGU -> Expert Mode -> 3000 HMI_SPEECH -> TRIM_LINE

Well, after almost 1.5 years, the pictures finally updated according to the VO a few days ago... The only thing that might triggered it is I just changed phone and reinstalled the app on the new phone. My theory is, the image is being cached in the phone and only downloaded the new images from the server with updated VO when I reinstalled it?

I have a 330i 2022 and M4 xDrive 2023.
I did an upgrades to the breaks (M performance red calipers) in my 330i from the dealer. But nothing showed up in the app avatar yet. I reinstalled the app and tried again but didn't work. I'm thinking of asking the dealer if they updated the VO after the change.

On a different note, I've also done some OEM upgrades to the M4 xDrive myself. Now I'm wondering if buying BimmerUtility is worth it, as I might do more OEM modifications (mostly carbon stuff) later on.

Hello, I have a BMW 118i F20 LCI Sport Line that I am installing in the BMW OEM M pack with rims... On Ista I coded the M Aeordynamics package but unfortunately on the My BMW application the car still does not have the M pack. Do you have a solution?

I did this and it worked, but the problem is that I have the sport pack and the m pack in one image hahah. How can I remove and add options other than ista?
