Side skirts - Yes or No
I've fitted OEM side skirts / sill extensions recently. I was never 100% on them so they're fitted with 3M tape only (on the sides) and a couple of self tappers on the underside.
I (or rather my local detailers) had to redo them as the tape wasn't holding, and now the driver's side is starting to come away again. I've ordered some bond to fit them properly, and if I go ahead, will also drill holes and use the push rivets which came with the skirts. Trouble is I can't make up my mind whether to fit them or not - which was the whole point of trying to use the tape, even though all advice suggested that it wouldn't hold! So what do we think, yes? - or no? Any opinions welcome! |

100% got for the side skirts. I have the full m performance pack fitted by myself I used a combination of 3m automotive tape and Tiger seal, which is a great adhesive.

Yes, its Tigerseal I've ordered. I might feel differently if the 19" wheels were on. I think the skirts visually pull the side of the car down and maybe looks a bit odd with the smaller 18" winters.

Decided they're staying, not that I have much choice as upon removing the skirts this afternoon for re fitment tomorrow, the holes left by the self tappers are very visible.
So if I didn't fit them, I'd need to get my sills repaired! |

Honestly doesn't really look much different to me. On a personal level I wouldn't have them (just adds visual clutter imo) but since you've already got them fitted I don't think many would even notice.

Funny, that's what most family members say - they don't even notice! Inclined to agree re the clutter as I said earlier, so I'll likely remove the mudflaps once I source a set of AP arch guards. They just supplied fronts up until now, but will be selling rears too for the G20/G21 as of this weekend.

I’ll vote yes for side skirts as most of the ones I see don’t have them so makes yours stand out more
