Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the production version. The virtual cockpit looks very appealing (refresh rate and glare to be evaluated).

While I prefer analog dials, I know most people want this and I don't really care as long as the rest of the car is good. |

Is the virtual cockpit standard? I somewhat doubt that...

This car is just getting bigger and bigger. its like the size of the 5 series now. Im just going to hold out for the m240gc thats coming which will be a nice replacement for my f30 and more the size of my long gone but not forgotten e46
yes. he even stated the answer to your question in the video. Being digital though they can tweak how it displays to make it seem not as good as the higher models. Im okay with this since we'll probably be able to configure ourselves given the right software and an enet cable.

Instrument cluster
Information which would be valuable is resolution of the display and what it can show.
In addition what hardware is it running ? And why an anti clockwise rev counter ??? This is not intuitive, no sports heritage and at least to me not the best choice.... |

nice. too bad audi has a way nicer digital cluster with many more options. as far as i can tell BMW's is just digital, no extra map, no resizing, no more info, just the same boring BMW cluster but digitized

If you have map directions in the HUD, why do you need the map at all in the cluster?

Why the assumption the BMW digital dash is limited? X5 installation shows satnav, music details, and other stuff. It is one reason why the rev counter is counter clockwise, the 'middle' of the display is being used for all the other stuff, while speedo and rev counter is in full display. |

I really don't like digital dashes (and i have to say this one looks particularly horrible, configured that way at least). Let's hope it's an option and does not comes standard.

Does it? As I posted a picture in the other topic, the G05 X5 one looks well set out to me, even if I do prefer the older BMW dash layouts.
