Will F30 wheels fit on a G20? Or is the bolt-circle different?
I was just looking at a site that reports on the wheel bolt circle sizes of all makes of cars and they report a surprising piece of info. They list the G20 wheels as 7.5j x 18 with a bolt circle of 120mm and center of 72.6mm. They do not record the offset.
This is a big surprise as I thought all the next generation of BMW's had gone to the 112mm x 66.6 hole. The new 112 mm x 66.6 size was disappointing to me as it meant that I could not reuse my old wheels/tires. This is a big deal if true. Can anyone else confirm that BMW has continued with the 120 x 72.6 mm size for the G20? |

This was stated in BMW G30 technical data. Quote:
I'm expecting G20 hubs to follow the same revised dimensions. |

Considering G20 is on the CLAR platform, it seems more likely that the site you were reading was just plain wrong and assumed something they should have.
It would be illogical for BMW to migrate to 5-112mm on all their cars except for just the 3 series. |

I just WANT the site to be correct, so badly. Checked and the site is still listing it that way, though it makes no sense, unless BMW is going to revert to 5 x 120mm across the line and the G20 is the first one up.

G models are using new/different wheel bolt PCD and hub spigot dimensions.

Wheels from an F car do not fit G cars.

We're expecting it to be 5x112 66.6 with conical seat lugs similar to most of the other newer models. I don't see why the G20 would be any different. It may make looking for wheels a difficult task as many aftermarket wheels with this PCD and hub bore will be designed for use with Audi/VW/Mercedes ball seat lugs.
In any case, this won't be an issue for us as we custom machine everything to spec for each application anyways. Now, we just need to track one down to bring in for some R&D test fitting!

My M340ix is on order and I started looking for a set of 18" square rims to use in the winter.
Gripe: Why is it none of the sites list rim weight?! I don't want to carry >30 lbs of deadweight per rim.... |
