85% of the 4 Series Concept will carry over to production

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
If we forgo the conceptual decorations at this time. The outline and stance here and subtle surface work appearing to be more natural rather than forced with hard lines to break up a surface is what you will be getting with the new 4.

85% of the 4 Series Concept carries over to production. And whilst the details have been exaggerated for conceptual purpose. The details remain but are brought up to meet many properties for production.

Again Scott, thanks to you and the team on the insight. It must be tiring at this point to have to exert such effort to describe the design language.
Outline and stance looks good, she just needs a nose job, what can I say

See, to me that version is plain and featureless. This shape, needs the hard creases and angles to actually make the grilles work.

That’s just dull and boring.

I can understand if someone doesn't like the design (or probably better said "most of the people" instead of "someone" ). But boring? Does it really look more boring than the previous 4 series (and 3 series coupes)?

Hard creases aren’t necessarily needed for drama and impact.

But then again, it doesn’t hurt in terms of aggression

Love the car shape but, that damn grill is still to big.

Most likely it will grow on me but for now I am not much into it.

I think it looks really like a really bad afterthought photoshop job. That said, look at Lexus and Audi and all the other big boys. It's all ridiculous grills and by comparison this one is average and even tame.

I predict in lite of the new car buyer mindset and market it will perform well sales wise.

I also predict this thing becomes a fried egg 911 black mark on the brands design history that will get hate long into the future. Not the end of the world, after all what matters is how it drives and the fried egg 911s are very fun.

New concept

Personally BMW's simplistically smooth design's have always been a plus to me, I feel like if you want more of a eccentric super-car , you should invest in an Audi 🙂

argh, it's not long before the real reveal of the car. Aside from speculating what it may or may not look like. I am going to not worry too much about that.
Not in my hands. Besides if its really bad people will not buy, if its good people will buy.

Great. As long as that hideous front end gets killed in favor of the 8 series front end.
