I was so disappointed the 4 concept wasn't at the LA auto show. Was really looking forward to seeing it to see the grill in the flesh. That saying, the 2er GC looks way better in person than in pics.

Going over your bombastic speech, let me tell you that this design was used by some manufacturers like 10 years ago. never thought you might come up with an Infinity-Coupe like design. I couldn't dare to think that low...

On another note, the design is so dull, and lacks so much excitement that you guys need to reconsider a brand new design team; top to bottom.
A vehicle must be provocative, must inspire, must ignite feelings. You... are on the opposite direction.

Oh, Did I mention that obnoxious, kitschy grille? Looks terrible. And I am being diplomatic in here...

See, to me that version is plain and featureless. This shape, needs the hard creases and angles to actually make the grilles work.
It's the color. Flat and or dark colors wash out the lines.

I'm surprised that nobody has asked about the provenance of the image in SCOTT26's original post. The logo in the top left corner pointed me at this site, where graphic designers sell their 3D models.

There is an interactive 3D viewer here:
https://hum3d.com/3d-models/bmw-concept-4/

I couldn't immediately see any details of the author? Are we to believe that this is a 3rd party who happened to come close the the BMW design, or was this uploaded semi-officially by somebody at BMW?

I do note that this model doesn't have that ugly hood line.

Arrow 4er Concept Coupe at the IAA Frankfurt...

The Concept 4-Coupe, really grew on me, when I saw it at Frankfurt this year. Just keep an open mind when it comes to the huge grill. I really liked the side creases and body sculpturing. The rear end was also quite cool.

It's gonna look fine with all the M touches it will get.

I'm more worried about how the ZF auto will feel. I'm also expecting a modest price jump.

I'm just not feelin' it but I remember not being happy about the E60 5 series AT ALL. But, it ultimately grew on me and went on to become a favorite of mine. So we'll see, but damn that nose is hideous.

I just wished that if they were going for the big bold grilles, they went all out. I was in the minority of liking the 4er Concept, and I think BMW did a great job of sculpting the grilles into the car and giving it cohesion and depth. Then the leak of the M3 came out and...damn. Looked like they just designed a normal M3 and said "hey throw some tall grilles on there fuggit"

85% does not include those Grills will be a good news story! but from the leaked pics, the grill is 85% of 85% that is included. :

I work in the VFX industry and regularly work on 3D modeling and animating CG cars. Hum3d is not known for accuracy nor quality when it comes to 3D modeling. They are the Ikea of 3D modeling.
