Does anyone have wireless charging?
I thought I had most if not all the available options for my 330i, but my center console doesn't have wireless charging. Was this ever an option, or always been aftermarket? Anyone have it on a new G20?

I have the wireless charging on my M340 and it is extremely convenient; additionally, it allow me to use my Samsung S8 as a digital key. BTW, wireless charging was a stand-alone option -- and am glad I got it Hope that helps!

Mine didn't come with wireless charging, just nfc reader. However, I found the perfect cable and wireless charger to use with the usb that is by it. Works great and prevents anything from getting into the usb port.

I have it on mine. Beware it heats up the phone, especially if it has a case. Samsung S9 in otter box case. USB charging is faster though, at least for me.

Have it on mine, find it quite useful for gradual top up on my pixel 3 but wired charging is loads quicker. Phone does get quite warm during charging and it seems to turn off after a while too

Yep, have it as well.
I'm using the wire for now since I'm having waze on my phone (and the charge is pretty quick). I'll start using the wireless charging dock as soon as Android Auto releases on iDrive 7. |

By home charger, I assume you mean the normal wall charger? My Samsung wireless home charger heated up my galaxy a bit. It was also slow. Which is why I hated it and stopped using it after a couple of days. I’d rather plug it in using a wall charger instead. I assume it’s the same in the car too.

For me the big selling point of wireless charging was just that with a small tweak in habit -- placing the phone on the pad instead of just on a table -- it can be always charging without unplugging every time I want to take a call. There are fast wireless chargers and regular ones, I'm guessing the faster they charge the hotter they get and it's possible BMW went with the "less heat slower charge" version. I won't know until I get my car. I always thought that such sporadic charge cycles were bad for the battery, but after 2.5 years of that my iPhone 8+ is still at 95% battery capacity. As long as the wireless charger in the G20 is no worse than regular wireless chargers, I'm going to really enjoy the convenience of just putting the phone in the tray and not plugging / unplugging. |

I have the setup from Amazon, looks great but I rarely use it because I haven’t had time to figure out how to keep the NFC reader from turning on the phone and activating the wallet every 5 minutes. I’ll prob try some silicon pads to elevate. Not sure that will help.
