Im in Southern California. What are the best dealerships out here for negotiation and what percentage below MSRP should I be aiming for? Im looking into purchasing the new m340i with drive. I would be financing it.

Anyone have a good dealer in the northeast? Everyone in the pitt area with inventory is giving me garbage quotes - literally maybe $1-2k off MSRP...monthly is in the $700 range, which is insane to me. I may just end up buying a used M3 if it keeps going like this...

try leasehackr forums! There are brokers and dealers who give great deals on new m340i's ..

10.5% plus lease/loyalty/usaa/ol code is a good starting point!

What is an "OL code"? (I assumed owner's loyalty, but I see you mention that separately.)

I asked this in the leasing thread, but that was probably the wrong place:

What is the typical dealer markup on port-installed accessories? (e.g. CF rear diffuser, M Perf rear trim)

Thanks!

Ben.

If you have intentions on adding M perf parts and you are leasing it's paramount you add those bits when ordering the car before it gets to port. Theyre residualized into the lease so you are only paying a % of it. I added about 5k in Mperf parts but it only added roughly $85 per month on my lease.

I used one of the very well known SoCal dealers on Bimmerfest to get $10K, including incentives, off an 'ordered' M340. Purchased, not leased.

Why waste your time with local dealers who are giving you outrageous qoutes, go with the out of state offer. My car came from TX and I am in South Florida. At the time, I almost had gotten a car from Reading PA too.

Well, after their first offer I didn't waste any more time...they followed up with me but I've since moved on. Just wanted to put another data point out there for those looking. Deals seem to be much better in eastern PA - people on leasehckr are getting 9-10% off msrp pre-incentives. I'm about to pull the trigger on a used M3 comp pack now though

Not sure this works for all states unfortunately. California for example requires 7500 miles to import a car from out of state or you have to pay the full difference in tax when you register it. Granted, it's pretty easy to put 7500 miles on it in a year, but you'd have to have the sending dealership do your paperwork...I'm honestly not sure how it would all work out.
