Mirror memory
Has anyone had any issues with the passenger side mirror not going back into the memory position. My driver side seems to remember the setting but the passenger side does not.

Can someone check and report back. Want to see if I broke something when I swapped my mirror caps.

Oh, not that.
The mirror dips down when I reverse. It returns to correct position in drive. This feature is activated with the same switch you use to select which mirror you want to adjust. I’m can’t remember if I have it pushed left or right. I haven’t tried moving between 1 and 2. I put the mirror where I wanted it at delivery and haven’t moved it. I’ll try tomorrow. |

No issue here, it works fine for me. Does your passenger mirror tilt-down when you put the car in reverse? If not, then might be a problem with your motor.

I replaced the mirror motor with a previous gen 3 series and all functionality is back. I broke the motor when I did the mirror cap install.
Here is the part that work in my G20: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F183251745757 |

The switch it refers to is tho switch you use for selecting which mirror you want to adjust.

Hi All,
it seems it is not possible to adjust the tilt for the passenger side mirror in reverse gear, but it goes down at much possible... making the function simply useless (unless for me). Could someone confirm or better... explain how to set a different position (not with 3rd party software). I have an X3 G01, I think is the same with other recent model. Thanks a lot. |

There is nothing in iDrive to change this.

I don't have mirror memory, but I seem to be having a similar issue....when I put the car in reverse the passenger mirror view drops as it should but when it reverts to normal driving position it doesn't go back to the same position, its too low, and I have to readjust using the control. Not sure if coding can fix this?
